James Bushell

James is the founding director of MOTIF.

He is a business strategist with a resolute drive to increase your company's revenue and market share through the use of sustainability practices.

James’ skills in strategy development and implementation, governance, and data-driven decision-making, are grounded in organisational and human psychology and offer key leadership insights and processes to make informed strategic decisions.

Chelsea Cain

Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga

Chelsea is a rising player in the ethics and sustainability world. With a background in communications she ensures that the projects are clearly communicated and aligned with your organisation’s goals. Knowledgeable in a range of sustainability and commercial tools and frameworks she takes an active role in helping you navigate the way to your organisation’s growth.

When working with a car sharing scheme she said: “It opened my eyes to the realisation that it was possible to be a part of a business that did not operate in a manner which focused solely on profit maximisation, but with the belief that businesses have an obligation to society and not it’s shareholders alone” She knew that she wanted to make a difference and that difference would begin by working alongside businesses that incorporated models of ethics and sustainability into their core operations.

Whilst Chelsea is involved in all realms of business and sustainability she has an interest in people, in particular the rights and welfare of indigenous cultures.
